Me and my mate love the smash bros post art so for a present I decided to remake it. These contain characters we either play, created in our playthroughs, or those who match in our personalities. In our group we tend to theorise in games which character is most like a person we know and that includes ourselves.

This was a spur of the moment idea around not that long prior to his birthday so for on and off for 3 weeks I heavily rushed this piece. I would like to work on it more but since I’ve already gifted a printed poster, I wouldn't want to affect the integrity of the special moment in time.

I think if I were to add to it, I would change it so it’s the longer piece including characters representing others in our group and of course more references that have past since this drawing. I would also fix mistakes like adding in Banjo’s necklace and maybe draw it more in an inky traditional style.
